On 10 March 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Abdul-Haq Wassiq (TAi.082) regarding his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 11 to 21 March 2025 to perform Umrah.
On 7 March 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Amir Khan Motaqi (TAi.026) regarding his visit to Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, from 9 to 14 March 2025. The purpose of the visit is to take part in bilateral meetings with senior government officials of the Sultanate of Oman.
On 21 February 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Abdul Ghani Baradar Abdul Ahmad Turk (TAi.024), Hamidullah Akhund Sher Mohammad (TAi.118) and Gul Agha Ishakzai (TAi.147) regarding their upcoming visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan on 22-23 February 2025. The purpose of the visit is to conduct negotiations with the leadership of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On 14 February 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Ahmad Zia Agha (TAi.156). The exemption was granted for his visit to Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, to attend the Urals Forum “Cybersecurity in Finance”, scheduled for 19–21 February 2025.
On 7 February 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Abdul Ghani Baradar Abdul Ahmad Turk (TAi.024) regarding his visit to Doha, State of Qatar, from 9 February 2025 to 3 March 2025 for medical treatment.
On 22 January 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Sirajuddin Jallaloudine Haqqani (TAi.144) regarding his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 23 January 2025 to 3 February 2025. The purpose of the visit is to perform Umrah.
On 10 January 2025, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Noor Mohammad Saqib (TAi.110) regarding his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 13 to 16 January 2025. The purpose of the visit is to attend the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Makkah.
On 26 December 2024, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1988 (2011) approved a travel ban exemption for Amir Khan Motaqi (TAi.026) regarding his visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 28 December 2024 to 7 January 2025. The purpose of the visit is to take part in meetings regarding regional security, stability and reconciliation.
