On 3 March 2025, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved a travel ban exemption for Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (QDi.317). This exemption permits his visit to Egypt on 4 March 2025 to attend the emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States. 

On 26 February 2025, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved a travel ban exemption for Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (QDi.317) regarding his visit to Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on 26 February 2025. 

On 4 February 2025, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved a travel ban exemption for Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (QDi.317) regarding his visit to Türkiye on 4-5 February 2025. The purpose of the visit is to address urgent stabilization and humanitarian needs of Syria.

On 31 January 2025, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved a travel ban exemption for Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (QDi.317) regarding his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2 to 4 February 2025.

On 15 January 2025, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved a travel ban exemption for Anas Hasan Khattab (QDi.336) regarding his visit to Türkiye on 15 January 2025.
